An Isle of Wight business has gone into liquidation, bringing an end to more than four decades of trading on the Island.
Newport-based Wight Business Services (WBS), located on Daish Way, ceased operations earlier this week.
A notice at the premises confirms the company is now in the hands of the official receiver.
The building has been secured, with the doors chained shut and warnings displayed stating that it is a criminal offence to remove any items from inside.
WBS was established in 1982 and supplied a wide range of office products, including stationery, furniture, computers and photocopiers.
While the majority of its customers were based on the Isle of Wight, the company also served businesses across the UK.
It is understood that a winding-up petition submitted by Exertis UK was heard at a court in Manchester on Tuesday.
Four employees are believed to have lost their jobs as a result of the closure, with reports suggesting no prior notice was given by the company director.
