Denbigh House Dental Practice has swept three prestigious accolades at the 2025 Dentistry Awards, held on Friday 7 June at the Athena in Leicester.

The family-run practice, based in Ryde and led by Ed and Holly Day, was named ‘Team of

the Year – South East’, beating more than 50 other practices across the region.

Their exceptional achievements didn’t stop there, they went on to win the ‘Overall Team of the Year’ for the entire UK, marking a monumental milestone for Island dentistry.

Adding to the celebration, Ed Day was awarded ‘Highly Commended’ in the Dental Technician of the Year category, recognising his skill and dedication within the profession.

The judges were impressed by Denbigh House's exemplary work in both clinical care and

community outreach.

Denbigh House, along with its sister site Freshwater Dental Practice, are currently the only

fully NHS dental practices on the Isle of Wight.

Though both are at capacity, Ed and Holly are actively exploring opportunities to expand and open books for new NHS patients in the near future.

Island residents looking for dental care can also access St James Clinic in Newport also

owned by Ed and Holly Day which is the most recommended and affordable private dental

clinic on the Isle of Wight and is currently accepting new patients.

That's such wonderful news to read about a local practice, congratulations to everyone there! It's so heartening to see dedication to patient care recognized. Speaking from my own experience, winning a patient-voted award truly is special; it reminds me of the Customer Choice Awards my own dentist was nominated for a while back. Reading through that genuine patient feedback online was actually really comforting and helped me feel confident in my choice. It’s lovely to see that same trust being celebrated here on the Island.
