The Isle of Wight College has congratulated students receiving their GCSE English and Maths resit results today, marking an important milestone for learners across the Island.
For many students, resitting GCSEs represents a significant challenge, and the College says today’s results reflect the determination and resilience shown by those who committed to improving their grades.
The achievements open up new opportunities for further education, training and employment.
Learners include both young people continuing their studies and adults who have returned to education later in life, with the improved results helping to unlock a wide range of future pathways.
Principal Ros Parker praised the students’ efforts and commitment.
She said the November resit results are a strong reminder that perseverance pays off, highlighting that many learners have balanced their studies alongside work and family responsibilities.
She added that improving English and Maths grades can be life-changing and said the College is proud to support students throughout that journey.
The Isle of Wight College offers tailored support for GCSE resit students, including focused teaching, small group sessions and access to additional learning resources, helping learners build confidence and develop the skills needed to succeed.
Students can now progress to T Levels, vocational courses, apprenticeships or employment, with the College continuing to support learners in achieving their ambitions.
Applications for September 2026 are now open, and the Careers Team is available to provide impartial advice and guidance.
