Isle of Wight Builders Help Transform Family Home on DIY SOS

Island-based RPL Construction has spoken of its pride after taking part in a heartwarming episode of DIY SOS, helping to rebuild the home of a local family whose lives were turned upside down by a rogue builder.
The family had been left devastated when their life savings were taken and their home left unfinished and unliveable.
But with the support of RPL Construction and a team of dedicated local tradespeople and suppliers, the property was completely transformed in just seven days.
RPL donated their time, expertise, and materials to help turn the half-built structure into a safe, welcoming, and functional home once again.
The emotional reveal saw the family overcome with gratitude for the kindness and teamwork shown by everyone involved.
“It was an unforgettable experience for our team,” said Samara Lamb, Director of RPL Construction.
“Being part of something that changes people’s lives reminds us why we do what we do. The teamwork, community spirit and compassion on site were extraordinary.”
The Isle of Wight company joined dozens of other volunteers and trades who came together to make the life-changing project possible.
