Isle of Wight band Five Degrees North have released their long-awaited new single, Red River, their first track since performing on the main stage at the 2025 Isle of Wight Festival.
The song, a staple in their live set for over a year, is now available to stream on all platforms.
It features guitarist and vocalist Will Morrison, drummer Louis ‘Linguini’ Marshall, and new lead guitarist Gabe Randall, who replaces former bassist Michael Fuller.
The band thanked Michael for his four years with the group and wished him well in future projects.
Red River explores conflict in all forms, from physical battles to inner struggles, reflecting on survival and resilience.
To mark the release, Five Degrees North are hitting the road with a South Coast tour, including two shows in Newport: Strings on April 16 and Triple A Records on April 18.
The band also has major summer appearances lined up, supporting former Kasabian singer Tom Meighan at Robin Hill alongside Echobelly and The Bracknall, and making their festival headline debut at RECFEST in Fareham.
They are also nominated for Indie/Rock Act of the Year at the 2026 Portsmouth Music Awards.
Formed in 2021, Five Degrees North built their following on the Isle of Wight and, as winners of the 2025 Wight Noize competition, earned their Isle of Wight Festival main stage slot.
The members now live in Brighton while attending university.

Apr 18 – Triple A Records, Newport
Apr 21 – Bee’s Mouth, Brighton
