Island residents and local organisations have just a few days left to share their views on how the Isle of Wight Council should spend hundreds of millions of pounds next year.
The council’s 2026/27 budget consultation — which closes on Monday, November 3 — invites Islanders to give feedback on everything from council tax and service charges to which areas of spending should be prioritised.
County Hall spends around £500 million a year delivering public services, including adult social care, children’s services, education, transport and more.
Residents can also rank priorities such as improving roads, building new homes, supporting schools and SEND provision, and investing in cultural projects.
Council leader Phil Jordan said:
“We spend lots of money each year on delivering services — and we want to hear, very clearly, what you think is most important.”
Deputy leader Andrew Garratt added:
“We can either set the budget in isolation or listen to Islanders — and I’m determined that we listen.”
You can take part in the consultation on the Isle of Wight Council website here.
