The Isle of Wight community is being thanked after more than £35,000 worth of toys were donated to Isle of Wight Radio’s Christmas Toy Appeal this year.
The appeal, which ran from November through to early December, has once again seen an incredible response from Islanders, helping to ensure thousands of children wake up to a present on Christmas morning.
The final toys are now being sorted and will be distributed to families and agencies across the Island by this Friday (December 19).

Claire John, Managing Director at Isle of Wight Radio, said:
"A huge thank you to everyone who donated toys or helped spread the word, your support has been outstanding once again.
"Special thanks to appeal sponsor Red Funnel, to Cowes Moovers for their help with transporting donations, and to Karen Eeles and her team of volunteers, who have played a vital role in organising, sorting and distributing the gifts."

The Christmas Toy Appeal supports children aged between one and 14, with donations shared through local charities, schools and social services.
Each year, the appeal helps thousands of families, with this year’s efforts continuing that tradition of Island generosity.
The success of the 2025 appeal once again shows the strength of the local community and its determination to make Christmas special for every child.
