Residents on the Isle of Wight are being encouraged to consider a career in policing, with a dedicated recruitment event taking place later this month.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary is looking to attract new Police Officers and Special Constables to help meet growing demand and strengthen community policing across the Island.
A recruitment event will be held on Saturday 25 April at The Riverside Centre in Newport, running from 10am until 2pm.
Those attending will have the chance to speak with serving officers, recruitment staff and volunteers, as well as learn more about training, career pathways and what day-to-day policing on the Island involves.
Inspector Katie Clift says policing the Isle of Wight offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference, supporting and protecting the local community while facing a wide range of challenges.
The force says it is keen to hear from people of all backgrounds, highlighting both full-time Police Constable roles and volunteer Special Constable positions as key opportunities.
More information about the event and how to apply can be found on the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary recruitment website.
