An Isle of Wight man is preparing to walk the entire coastline of the Island in a bid to raise awareness of men's mental health and support a local charity.

Chris Cowdrey will set off on 18th December, taking on the challenge of completing a full lap of the Isle of Wight.

He says he won't return home until every mile has been walked.

The fundraiser is deeply personal for Chris, who hopes his journey will encourage others to speak openly about their own mental health struggles.

He said:

"This isn't just about the physical challenge—it's about my own journey with mental health.
"Like so many people, I've faced battles that aren't always visible. There have been times when life has felt overwhelming, and I know how lonely those struggles can be.
"Instead of letting those experiences define me, I've decided to turn them into something positive."

Chris says every mile of the walk will represent the determination to keep moving forward, even during life's most difficult moments.

Money raised will go to Mindset Bros Isle of Wight, which provides support, encouragement and a sense of community for people struggling with their mental health.

He added:

"I hope that by sharing my story, I can remind others that they are not alone and that it's okay to ask for help.
"Every step has a purpose. Every mile tells a story. Let's make a difference together."

Chris is encouraging Islanders to support the campaign by donating or simply sharing the fundraiser to help spread awareness.

Those wishing to support the challenge can donate via Chris' GoFundMe page.
