Free Climate And Adventure Talk Taking Place At Ryde School

A free public talk with adventurer and conservationist Sacha Dench is taking place at Ryde School this Thursday evening (24 September).

The event runs from 6pm to 7pm and is open to people of all ages.

Sacha Dench, known as the "Human Swan", famously followed migrating swans by paramotor from Arctic Russia to the UK.

She has also appeared on the BBC and spoken at the Royal Geographical Society.

The talk will explore adventure, wildlife, climate change and biodiversity.

It is being held to mark the launch of the new Island Climate Education Hub, or ICEH.

The Island-wide initiative brings together young people, schools and local organisations to develop understanding of climate change and encourage practical action.

ICEH is connected with Together for Mission Zero – Education Hub IOW and the Isle of Wight Biosphere.
