Hovertravel’s Extra-Time Service To Get Fans Home From Fratton Park

Isle of Wight Pompey fans can now roar their team on for the full 90 minutes at Fratton Park — and still make it home the same evening — thanks to a brand-new late-night charter service from Hovertravel.

The Late Match Charter has been tailor-made for Portsmouth FC supporters, with a special timetable designed to take the stress out of midweek fixtures.

Loretta Lale, Head of Marketing at Hovertravel, said:

“This Late Match Charter has been designed specifically for Portsmouth FC fans who live on the Isle of Wight.

"By adding an additional evening service and offering a convenient coach transfer from Fratton Park, we’re making sure island supporters can enjoy the match in full without worrying about how to get home.”

The service includes:

• A dedicated coach transfer from Fratton Park (Goldsmith Avenue) to Hovertravel’s Southsea terminal at 22:00.

• A 22:15 hovercraft departure back to Ryde — the quickest way home after a night under the floodlights.

• Wed 1 Oct 2025 – Portsmouth vs Watford

• Tue 21 Oct 2025 – Portsmouth vs Coventry

• Wed 5 Nov 2025 – Portsmouth vs Wrexham
