Goodbye Ozze! New Era As New Management Take Over Popular Newport Chippy

Fish and chip fans in Newport are preparing for a hard goodbye as one of the Island's most popular proprietors steps back from his fryer today (Wednesday).

Ozze and his Pan Estate shop, Ozze's Plaice, are well known across the Island having been on the Island's chip scene for many years.

Having served the public and gained a well-deserved reputation for good food and large portions, Ozze has announced he'll be stepping into retirement.

A Facebook post said:

"Just to let you know we are retiring from Ozze's Plaice (last shift tonight Wednesday)

Thank you all for your support and custom over the years.

"We hope you will give the same support to Elvie ans Steve as they take over from us.

"Take care everybody. Hope to see you around. Many thanks again.

"Ozze and Andie."

Loyal customers have been urged to show support for the shop's new managers Steve and Elvie, with promises that portion sizes will stay the same.
