A much-loved Island charity is inviting families – and their four-legged friends – to enjoy a summer afternoon of fun in Yarmouth this weekend.
Ability Dogs 4 Young People has teamed up with The Towers to host a Fun Dog Show on Sunday (24 August), with gates opening at midday.
For this one-off event, The Towers will be opening its private gardens, giving visitors the rare chance to enjoy its beautiful sea views while supporting a vital local cause.
The main attraction will be the dog show itself, beginning at 2pm, with light-hearted categories including Fabulous Female, Marvellous Male, Waggiest Tail and Best Trick.
Registration opens from 12pm.
Alongside the competition, there will be live music, refreshments, and stalls – including treats from Happy Hounds Artisan Bakery.
Visitors are also welcome to bring a picnic and enjoy the relaxed garden setting.
Supporting a Life-Changing Cause
All proceeds from the event will go directly to Ability Dogs 4 Young People, which trains assistance dogs to support disabled people across the Island.
The charity helps individuals with a wide range of conditions, from physical disabilities such as cerebral palsy, to autism, epilepsy, and anxiety.
Increasingly, its dogs are also helping young people struggling with self-harm, offering comfort, reassurance and security at the most critical times.
Organisers say every penny raised will contribute to the training and lifelong support of Ability Dogs, ensuring more people in need can benefit.
Everyone is welcome – dogs, families and friends alike – to enjoy what promises to be a truly special afternoon at The Towers.
