Four Bailed After 'Stabbing' Near Carisbrooke

Four people arrested in connection with a stabbing on Friday night have been released on bail while investigations continue.

The group, made up of a 35-year-old woman from Newport, a 27-year-old woman from Freshwater, and two men aged 39 and 37, both from Newport, were detained on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed all four have now been bailed until August 9 as enquiries continue into the incident.

Police say their investigation remains ongoing and further updates will be provided in due course.
