Former Newport Car Dealership Site Sold For Redevelopment

The former Snows Motor Group site on Forest Road in Newport has been sold, with plans in place to redevelop the location and expand a local business’s presence on the Isle of Wight.

Joedan Windows & Doors has confirmed it has purchased the prominent site, which was vacated by Snows in February last year.

The company is currently based at nearby Daish Way and is now looking to grow its operations with the move.

The expansion is expected to create new employment and training opportunities for Islanders, with the company describing its plans for the site as “exciting”, although full details have yet to be announced.

Joedan has been approached for further comment.

The Forest Road premises previously operated as a major car dealership hub before the decision was taken to close the Motor Park.

The closure followed changes to car dealership operations on the Island, which saw several major brands withdraw in late 2023.
