Five candidates are contesting the Cowes South and Northwood seat in the upcoming Isle of Wight Council elections.


Incumbent Conservative councillor John Nicholson faces opposition from Reform UK’s Gordon Adam, Labour’s Wayne Doidge, Independent Monique Gallop and Liberal Democrat Bob Packham.

John Nicholson, a local businessman, highlights his experience in construction and leadership, including his time as Mayor of Cowes.


He says he focuses on problem-solving and has been involved in developing the Cowes and Northwood Place Plan.
