Firefighters from across the Island were called to a late-night blaze at The Old Smithy in Godshill yesterday evening (Thursday).
Crews from Newport, Ryde and Shanklin were mobilised shortly after 9.30pm following reports of a kitchen fire at the well-known shop and tearooms.
Thanks to swift action from the teams, the flames were quickly brought under control before they could cause more serious damage.
No one was injured in the incident, and the fire was fully extinguished by crews on the scene.
