With the summer officially in the rear view mirror, now is the time for Autumn to come into focus.


Here's a few Island events to keep your eyes on this month.


Warrior Festival 🎸

  • When: Saturday 6 & Sunday 7 September

  • Where: Robin Hill Adventure Park, Newport

  • What’s On: 

    A two-day music festival packed with tribute acts and local talent, set in the stunning grounds of Robin Hill.

    Expect great live music, a festival atmosphere, and plenty of entertainment for all ages.


Isle of Wight Classic Motor Show 🚗

  • When: Saturday 6 September

  • Where: Newport town centre

  • What’s On: 

    Step back in time with a showcase of vintage and classic cars.

    A free event perfect for families and car lovers, with retro vehicles lining the streets and a nostalgic community vibe.


Cider & Cheese Festival 🧀🍎

  • When: Saturday 6 & Sunday 7 September

  • Where: Isle of Wight Steam Railway, Havenstreet

  • What’s On: 

    Sample more than 25 varieties of cider alongside artisan cheeses, chutneys, and pickles — all while enjoying live music and heritage steam train rides.

    A firm favourite in the Railway’s events calendar.


Modelfest ✂️

  • When: Saturday 13 & Sunday 14 September

  • Where: Ryde (venue TBC)

  • What’s On: 

    A must for model enthusiasts — from scale aircraft and vehicles to displays and trade stalls, with demonstrations and family-friendly activities.


Care and Health Careers Festival 💼

  • When: Wednesday 17 September, 10 am–2 pm

  • Where: Lord Louis Library, Newport

  • What’s On: 

  • Meet employers from the NHS, Mountbatten Hospice, Air Ambulance, Youth Trust and more.

    Find out about jobs, apprenticeships, and training opportunities — some employers will even be offering interviews on the day.


Charlotte Mew Guided Walk 📖

  • When: Thursday 18 September

  • Where: Newport (meeting point TBC)

  • What’s On: 

    A unique performance-led heritage walk celebrating the life and works of poet Charlotte Mew, produced by StoneCrabs Theatre.
