Drugs And Knives Seized During Newport Police Raid

Police have seized suspected Class A and B drugs, knives and mobile phones during a warrant in Newport.

Officers from the Isle of Wight Neighbourhood Policing Teams, supported by mainland colleagues, carried out the operation at a property in Albany Road at around 8am today (Thursday 3 September).

A search of the property resulted in a small quantity of suspected Class A and Class B drugs being recovered, along with a number of knives and mobile devices.

No arrests have been made at this stage.

Police say enquiries are continuing.
