Driver Taken To Hospital After Shanklin Collision

Police and paramedics were called to the main road between Shanklin and Ventnor on Monday evening after a driver suffered a medical emergency at the wheel.

Emergency services were called to Church Road in Shanklin at around 8.38pm on Monday (20 October) following reports of a single-vehicle collision.

The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service attended the scene and took the driver to hospital after it was confirmed they had suffered a medical episode.

No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
