Crews Sought For Wessex Cancer Support Dragon Boat Racing Event

Teams are being called to the water for as Dragon Boat Racing returns to Island Harbour on Saturday 30th August 2025, in support of Wessex Cancer Support.

Each team will race in three 200-metre heats, with the fastest advancing to a thrilling Grand Final. Winners will take home engraved trophies and medals, and every team gets access to expert coaching and all equipment.

We're told to expect a lively atmosphere with a PA system, music, live commentary, and food stalls for spectators.

Teams of 11 can register for £330, with a minimum fundraising target of £1,100. Fancy dress is encouraged, and participants must be aged 12 or over.

Spaces are limited — and those interested are urged to sign up as soon as possible to secure their space.
