Crash Causes Major Delays On Newport-Sandown Road

A collision on the main road between Newport and Sandown is causing significant delays this afternoon (Thursday).

Emergency services are at the scene on the A3056 near Crouchers Cross following the crash, which is understood to have happened at around 3.45pm.

The incident is affecting traffic in both directions, with lengthy queues building as people make their way home from work and school.

Motorists are being advised to avoid the area where possible and allow extra time for their journeys while emergency crews deal with the incident.
