There’s less than a week to go until the Great Isle of Wight Dog Walk, taking place on Sunday 26th April.
Tickets are selling fast for what is set to be one of the biggest events of the year, with organisers preparing to welcome large numbers of dogs and their owners to Havenstreet station.
Participants will be able to take a train ride to Wootton, before enjoying a leisurely three-mile guided walk through Briddlesford Woods, finishing back at Havenstreet.
There is a choice of both morning and afternoon walks.
As well as the walk itself, there will be plenty to see and do throughout the day, including a range of pet-related stalls.
Entry to Havenstreet station is free, giving visitors access to the museums and the Whistle Stop Café.
A highlight of the day will be the Fun Dog Show, organised by Pawsitive IOW, which gets underway at 12:30.
Entry costs £3 per category, with registration available on the day.
While the focus is on fun, prizes will be awarded to the top three in each category, including Prettiest Dog, Most Handsome Dog, Waggiest Tail, Best 6 Legs (dog and owner), Best Veteran and Best in Show.
More information and tickets are available online via the official RSPCA Isle of Wight website.
