Concern Grows For Missing Man Last Seen In Newport

Police are appealing for help to trace a 68-year-old man who has gone missing from Newport.

David Gunning was last seen at around 9am on Friday, November 14, and has not been seen or heard from since. Officers say they are increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Extensive enquiries have been carried out, including reviewing CCTV footage across the Island, working with partner agencies and ferry companies, and searching rural locations.

However, police have so far been unable to establish whether Mr Gunning has left the Isle of Wight.

David is described as white, around 6ft tall, of slim build, with short grey hair and grey stubble. He has tattoos on both arms.

While it is not known exactly what he was wearing when he disappeared, police believe he may have been wearing a jacket, dark trousers and black trainers.
