Residents at Vecta House Care Home in Newport enjoyed a chocolate-themed afternoon as a local chocolatier brought artisan treats into the home.
Kelly, owner of Isle of Chocolate, hosted a guided tasting session featuring a range of handmade chocolates.
Residents sampled flavours including mint, hazelnut, lemon meringue, raspberry, orange and caramel, and also created their own hot chocolate using artisan stirring spoons.

The session included a chocolate quiz and a discussion on the history of confectionery, with plenty of reminiscing about favourite childhood sweets.
Staff say the event was designed to stimulate the senses and spark conversation, forming part of the home’s ongoing programme of activities linking residents with local Island businesses.
