A sold-out charity supper club in Cowes has raised £4,500 for the Isle of Wight Youth Trust.

Local businessmen Paul Thorley and Mark Henry hosted the special evening at the Sir Max Aitken Museum to celebrate Chinese New Year.

Guests enjoyed themed décor and a five-course Chinese-inspired menu created and prepared by Paul, while Mark hosted the night with his trademark warmth and energy.

Nancy Thorley curated the room and dining table, helping bring the theme and spirit of the evening together.

A raffle added to the excitement on the night and helped boost the overall fundraising total.

The Youth Trust has thanked Paul, Mark and their team for their passion, generosity and hard work in making the evening such a success.

The event also received strong backing from the Island’s business community, with sponsorship from PC Consultants, Vehicle Consulting – Solent, Island FX Ltd, The Garlic Farm, Nunwell Home Farm and Hinton Group UK.

Speaking after the event, Paul Thorley said:

“Fundraising in 2026 is tougher than ever, which is why our Charity Supper Clubs matter so much.
"These evenings bring people and charities together over good food, good conversation and real generosity.
“Thanks to our guests, sponsors and incredible volunteers, we’ve now raised more than £30,000 for Isle of Wight charities — and we’re excited to keep building on that at our next event.”

Continuing To Support Young Islanders

Money raised from the supper club will help the Isle of Wight Youth Trust continue providing free mental health and wellbeing support to children and young people across the Island.

The charity offers a safe and supportive place for young people who need help with their mental health.

The next Charity Supper Club will take place on Friday 12 June 2026 at 7:00pm at The Bear Look Out at the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary.
