The Bay CE School (secondary site) celebrated the many successes of students during their annual ‘Celebration of Excellence’ event on Thursday (17 July).
Parents and carers were invited to join students and staff for a celebration of achievements both inside and outside of school.
Peter Hammond from Sandown and Shanklin Golf Club was the keynote speaker.
He inspired students with his reflections on commitment, resilience, and the importance of aiming high. He also took on the role of presenting trophies and award scrolls to this year’s winners.
A total of 135 students from Years 7-11 were presented with subject awards and special cups and trophies, including Believe, Inspire, Excel, Student Leadership and Enrichment.
Cups were also awarded to students for embodying the school values of Kindness, Trust, Courage and Respect.
