Carisbrooke College has held its fifth annual Santa Dash, with hundreds of students taking part in the festive fundraiser.
The event took place on Friday 19 December and was organised by Mrs Peake, continuing a popular tradition which brings students and the wider community together for a good cause.
A total of 250 students took part, all wearing Santa hats as they ran from Carisbrooke College to Carisbrooke Castle and back.
On returning to the college, participants were presented with a commemorative medal and treated to a hot chocolate.
This year’s Santa Dash raised more than £1,250 for the Wight Brainy Bunch Charity.
That brings the total raised over the past five years to £4,785.
Thanks have been given to Carisbrooke College staff and The Island VI Form students who helped by running and marshalling the event, as well as members of the public who came out to support and cheer on the runners.
Organisers say the event was a fantastic way to end the term on a festive and charitable note.
