Butter produced on the Isle of Wight will be served to VIP guests at Wimbledon this summer, as part of a specially curated menu from Island chef Alex Kimber.
The Guernsey butter, made by Briddlesford Farm near Wootton, will be featured in hospitality dishes prepared by Alex Kimber, who is known locally for his work at The Heron in Ryde and the Braai dining events at Nunwell.
Briddlesford’s butter is made using milk from its pedigree Guernsey herd and has long been used by chefs across the Island.
It has previously been praised by celebrity chef James Martin and is now set to reach a new audience at the world-famous tennis tournament.
Alex Kimber described the butter as “creamy, full of flavour, and completely unique,” adding that he was proud to bring Isle of Wight produce to Wimbledon.
Briddlesford Farm said it was “thrilled” to be involved in the event.
