Lake Parish Councillors said farewell to retiring Councillor Bette Young at their recent Annual Meeting.

Council Chair Paul Brading said:

"The Council are sorry that Bette is retiring, as she helped establish the Warm Space in Lake, contributed to our Covid Support Projects, and was very much a part of replacing public facilities at New Road and Lake Cliff Gardens, as well as re-opening Slipway Toilets.
"We are very grateful for all that Bette has given to Lake, and we will miss her guidance and her enthusiasm."

Bette added:

"Thanks to Paul and the team, it has been a pleasure and privilege serving the residents of Lake, and I will continue to keep an interest in all of the plans the Council have to maintain and improve the Parish."
