Autism Hampshire, part of Avenues Group, is delighted to announce that it has been awarded the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Autism and ADHD Information, Advice and Guidance IAG Service and Community Hubs contract.

Commissioned by the NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board ICB, the new service will go live on 1 April 2026 and run for three years, with an optional one year extension.

The new service model places partnership working and lived experience at its core, bringing together organisations and people with lived experience of autism and ADHD to co design, co deliver and co evaluate all elements of the service.

Autism Hampshire will lead delivery in collaboration with Hampshire Mind CIC comprising of Andover Mind, Havant and East Hants Mind and Solent Mind and AIM Isle of Wight as the Isle of Wight delivery partner. Together, the partnership will establish:

  • Four Autism and ADHD Community Hubs for adults 18+ across Hampshire, Southampton and the Isle of Wight covering North Hampshire Basingstoke and Andover, South East Hampshire A3M corridor, Southampton and the Isle of Wight.

  • A Hampshire and Isle of Wight wide digital and telephone IAG service including Southampton and Portsmouth.

  • An identity affirming, neuro affirmative approach offering timely information and support whether or not someone has a diagnosis.

This partnership model ensures services are grounded in local expertise, community knowledge and, crucially, the voices of neurodivergent adults themselves.

Cheryl Claxon, Head of Community Services at Autism Hampshire, said:

"We are incredibly proud to be leading this service in partnership with organisations who share our commitment to co production and lived experience.
"This model allows us to build on our current services, while expanding support to include ADHD and ensuring autistic and ADHD adults are at the heart of shaping services that truly meet their needs."

Autism Hampshire currently delivers autism IAG services in the region. This new contract expands the model to include ADHD and embeds co production throughout service development.

The strengthened offer will increase access to early support, help reduce crises, and ensure services are shaped by the people who understand them best, those with direct lived experience of autism and ADHD.

Further information about the service, recruitment opportunities and the co production process will be shared as the April 2026 launch approaches.
