Arson Investigation Launched After Fire At Derelict Sandown Hotel

Police have launched an arson investigation following a fire at a derelict hotel in Sandown.

Emergency services were called to the former Esplanade Hotel on Sandown seafront at around 4.25am yesterday (Sunday, 21 September) after reports of the blaze.

Officers attended the scene to assist with a cordon while firefighters tackled the fire.

The cause is currently being treated as suspicious and enquiries are underway.
