Arreton Container Fire Tackled By Island Firefighters

Firefighters from Newport were called to reports of a container alight at an Isle of Wight yard on Friday.

Several appliances responded to the scene off Downend Road at around 3:30pm, with hose reel jets used to extinguish the flames.

It's not thought anyone was hurt during the incident and there's been no indication as to how the fire started.
