Air Ambulance Touches Down As Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Gunville Road Collision

A pedestrian has suffered a serious arm injury after being hit by a car on Gunville Road.
The collision happened near the junction with Ash Lane shortly after 11am yesterday morning (Wednesday).
A Vauxhall Zafira was involved in the crash.
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance was called to the scene, with its medical team treating the injured pedestrian before they were taken by road to St Mary's Hospital.
The air ambulance left the scene after around 20 minutes, while police remained at the location awaiting vehicle recovery.
Gunville Road was closed between Ash Lane and Forest Road, with motorists advised to avoid the area.
