The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance was dispatched to a medical emergency at The Duver in St Helens on Sunday afternoon.

Emergency services, including resources from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service, were called to Duver Marina at around 12:15 following reports of an ongoing incident.

Due to the coastal nature of the location, HM Coastguard teams from Bembridge were also mobilised to assist with the response.

It is understood that crews were attending to a patient on board a visiting vessel. Bembridge RNLI’s all-weather lifeboat was also tasked to support the operation.

After approximately 45 minutes at the scene, the air ambulance’s medical team returned to the helicopter and departed. The helicopter did not convey a patient to hospital.
