A major new campaign is launching across the Isle of Wight today (Monday) to tackle men’s mental health and help save lives.

Mindset Bros, a local Community Interest Company, has unveiled its ‘Lifelines for Island Pubs’ initiative — a groundbreaking project that will see 40,000 support cards distributed to 100 pubs across the Island.

Each discreet Lifeline Card carries a QR code that connects men directly to vital support, including:

  • An online community of men who understand and listen

  • Free monthly meet-ups and events

  • Guided walk-and-talk sessions across the Island

  • One-to-one confidential mentoring with trained supporters

The cards will be placed on bars and in men’s toilets across participating pubs — offering quiet, judgment-free access to help for those who may be struggling.

Founder Ross Taylor said the campaign’s goal is simple: to save lives by meeting men where they already are.

“We know too many men are suffering in silence,” Ross said.
“By placing these cards in pubs — places where conversations happen and emotions are often hidden — we’re offering a simple, powerful connection to hope.
"This campaign is about community, conversation, and ultimately saving lives.”

Pubs have long been seen as social spaces where men gather, often at times when they’re feeling most alone.

The Lifelines for Island Pubs project aims to use those settings to start conversations and provide access to support before crisis point.

The campaign is part of Mindset Bros’ wider mission to normalise men’s mental health conversations and ensure no man on the Isle of Wight feels isolated or without help.
