33 Year Old Arrested After Newport 'Altercation'

Police have confirmed a man has been arrested following a reported altercation in Newport his morning (Friday).

It's understood officers were called to the Reeve Court bus stop on Staplers Road at around 8:40am after reports of a disturbance involving a man and a woman.

A 33 year old from Ryde was arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in police custody.
