14 Year Old Among Two Arrested After Fatal Sandown Stabbing

A 14-year-old boy and a 47-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the fatal stabbing of a man in Sandown.

Emergency services were called to a property in Downsview, off Perowne Way, shortly before 6.40pm on Thursday after reports of a serious assault.

The victim, a man in his 50s, suffered stab wounds and was taken to St Mary's Hospital by ambulance, accompanied by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance's specialist medical team. Despite treatment, he later died.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary confirmed the teenage boy and woman have also been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent. Both remain in custody while enquiries continue.
