Woman Stuck In Mud Near Bouldnor Prompts Coastguard Call Out

A woman stuck in the mud near Bouldnor has prompted a call out for HM Coastguard this afternoon (Thursday).

Isle of Wight Radio understands Coastguard Rescue Teams from Ventnor and Needles were called to assist at around 3pm.

Yarmouth RNLI has also been launched to the rescue operation.

Coastguard teams from Ventnor and Needles were also tasked.

A spokesperson for HM Coastgaurd said:

'Just before 3pm today, HM Coastguard received a call reporting that a woman was stuck in the mud near Bouldner Battery, between Hamstead and Yarmouth.

'Coastguard rescue teams from Ventnor and Needles were sent along with Yarmouth RNLI and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service. The woman was rescued from the mud by the coastguard rescue teams and passed onto the lifeboat. From there she will be passed into the care of the ambulance service.'
