Vandals Target East Cowes Vics Football Club

East Cowes Vics

East Cowes Vics has been subject to vandalism.

Volunteers at the club on Beatrice Avenue says the minibus had its rear window broken overnight on Saturday.

Posting on Facebook, they say the minibus is 'the clubs only way of being able to afford to play football on the mainland'.

They say it isn't an isolated incident either.

All gates to the site have now been locked, including the ones to the car park.

Darren Dyer of East Cowes Vics said:

“I’m sorry we have had to do this but enough is enough. If you see anyone entering the grounds please let me know.

“We are all volunteers and this minibus is our only way of being able to afford playing football on the mainland.”

In the last few weeks, vandals have also turned tables over and broken seats in the broken.
