Coronavirus: Three New Cases Registered On Isle Of Wight

Three new COVID cases have been registered on the Island today (Thursday) - taking the total to 6,815 since the pandemic started.

As previously reported, nine out of ten over 75 to 79-year-olds on the Isle of Wight have had both COVID vaccines.

Nearing the five-month mark, the Covid-19 vaccine rollout has continued on the Island with 8,412 first and second doses given to Islanders in the week ending May 2.

Nationally, the UK's recorded another 13 deaths from coronavirus in the latest daily figures.

There have also been a further 2,613 new positive cases.

Just under 35 million people have now had their first jab - while 16.2 have had both doses.
