Students At Medina College 'Plant A Tree For The Jubilee'

Students at Medina College have 'Planted a tree for the Jubilee' — as part of a nationwide campaign to create a legacy in honour of the Queen's long reign.

210 hedgerow trees have been planted along the border of Medina College's farm plot — with plans afoot to plant even more in the new year.

The Queen's Green Canopy initiative was launched to celebrate next year's Platinum Jubilee, while benefiting future generations. Individuals, schools, community groups and businesses are all being encouraged to take part.

Students at Medina College were presented with a virtual plaque to mark their contribution.

The Woodland Trust's initiative ‘Free trees for schools and communities’ gives everyone the opportunity to plant a tree. More details about this can be found at: https://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/plant-trees/schools-and-communities/
