Shanklin Man Faces 18-Week Sentence After Motoring And Drugs Offences

A 23-year-old man from Shanklin is to start an 18-week custodial sentence after pleading guilty to multiple charges in court this morning (Saturday).

Tyler Booth, of Shanklin, has pleaded guilty to the driving whilst disqualified, using a vehicle without 3rd party insurance, two counts of failing to stop at the scene of an accident, and the possession of cannabis.

Along with his custodial sentence, he has been further disqualified from driving.

As Booth had been released early from prison on license for other offences, his licence has now been recalled and he will serve the rest of his previous sentence in custody.
