REVEALED: Places To Visit On The Isle Of Wight This Summer

Isle of Wight

It's always been easy to beat the crowds on the Isle of Wight - you just have to know where to go.

The Isle of Wight Council has put together a list of hidden - and not so hidden - spots on the Island. These will be perfect for meeting friends and family with all the fresh air and space you need.

On the list are places that are easy to get to, with parking or bus stops nearby, and will hardly ever get crowded.

There’s a place for everyone, you can take a wander through the magical woodlands at Bonchurch Landslip.

If wide-open space, spectacular views and a brand new willow maze are for you, head to Golden Hill Country Park - where you can see a stunning Willow Maze.

Isle of Wight Radio had an exclusive tour of the masterpiece, which is one of two in the UK and is currently in Freshwater, as previously reported.

Councillor Julie Jones-Evans, the portfolio holder for tourism, said:

"The Island is full of beautiful countryside and beaches, but some are busier than others.

"Everyone on the Island has their favourite places, and now's a great time to try some new ones.

"If friends and family come to see you this year, tell them not to follow the crowds, get out to somewhere spacious! We all need to look out for each other this summer. Finding somewhere off the beaten track to meet up is a great way to keep the Island safe."

You can expand the council's list of special places with lots of space - can you think of a place you might want to add on?

If any of your favourite spaces are missing, post a photo of them on social media using #FindYourSpace.
