Reports of black smoke in Northwood have led to a call-out for firefighters today (Thursday).
A crew from Newport was called to the scene, near Coronation Avenue, at 12.08pm.
The fire service said that a member of the public reported seeing black smoke in a field in the area.

*The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said it was a controlled burning.
Crews have been stood down.
