Red Jet Running Reduced Timetable From Today

Red Funnel is axing a number of its Red Jet crossings temporarily from today (Monday).

The company says only commuter times will be running due to a low passenger numbers.

From today, there will only be seven sailings from the Island - and Southampton - daily.

Red Funnel says it has seen a 60% decline in demand for its services compared to recent weeks, bringing overall daily traffic passenger counts to just 15% of what they were this time last year.

Wightlink has already withdrawn its FastCat service for the second time this year. The ferry firm is blaming coronavirus for low passenger numbers.

Hovertravel is the only foot passenger service operating from Ryde.
