'Never Quit': Isle Of Wight Former Royal Marines Go Extra Mile

The Royal Marines Association on the Isle of Wight has raised over £1,200 for the charity - after circumnavigating the world in under 80 days.

Former Royal Marines on the Island and the mainland have managed to complete the 24,911 mile journey in just 74 days.

However, the team have voted to literally go the extra mile and complete the full 80 days.

Terry Goodwin, Secretary of the Royal Marines Association said:

‘I realise during this lock down things are difficult for you. Remember, Royal Marines never quit, you should not quit also.’

The team also walked for five hours last month (October) as part of the challenge and also to honour those who died, as previously reported.
