The 28 year old has brought much-needed humour and laughs to millions of people on social media this year.

At the time of writing, Hayley has 1.4 million followers and has a staggering 25 million likes on her TikTok videos - with her last five TikTok videos watched more than 70 million times combined. She also has 650,000 followers and more than five million likes on her content on Instagram.

Hayley, who attended Ryde High School, started her social media channel in January after finding herself bored during lockdown. And what started as a bit of fun has now gone viral worldwide.

Hayley's early videos feature her 'brain' throwing in irrational thoughts during different scenarios. She plays out sketches of the constant battle with balancing the normal way of life with her irrational brain thoughts.

But where does the inspiration for her video content come from?

Speaking exclusively to Isle of Wight Radio, Hayley explained:

"It's hard to describe, but it actually started as Me v Brain - but it's now evolved into other body parts.

"I started the TikTok channel in January and I don't know where the idea came from really. I actually caught COVID and then after that I had been so bored, it suddenly came as an idea in my head. It was sort of intrusive thoughts at the beginning. I made a video and it went viral - which completely shocked me.

"People do recognise me in the street, which completely blows my mind. I still think to myself, 'how do you know me?'"

"I don't know if I would call myself a 'TikToker', but this has turned into my full time job now. I think I would call myself a comedy writer."

Hayley was forced to pack in her dream job of working for Disney in Orlando, Florida last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

She said:

"It was the only job I think I've ever had where I've really loved it. You kind of feel you're really in the magic. It was though there were no worries in the world."

But since then, things have worked out very well for Hayley back on the Isle of Wight.

So how long does it take for Hayley to write, record and edit a video?

She said:

"At the moment, because I am doing more than three characters, it does take me a full day. I will wake up and start writing from 7am and then finish editing and have everything done by around 8pm. It's a full day for one video.

"When I get an idea, I will write a script and then send it to my friendship group to get their seal of approval. They know my humour and I can take things too far sometimes - but they will tell me that."

Hayley, who lives in St Helen's, added:

"Some of the messages I receive from people online are really heartfelt - some even say I make their day with my videos, which is just amazing.

"My message is always just do something you love. Do it for the enjoyment and the love, don't do it for the likes, views and followers."
