Kids Christmas Jumper Trail On Display In Newport

Residents of St George's Gate in Shide

This Christmas Jumper Day (Friday) Islanders are invited to visit a flurry of jumpers on display in windows at the housing developments at St George’s Gate in Shide.

In a bid to bring some festive cheer to the local community, leading housebuilding companies on the Island have created a festive trail and competition for residents.

Printed designs have been coloured in by children living at St George’s Gate, who have each been armed with art supplies from Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes.

Islanders are encouraged to visit the developments and follow the trail to see all the wonderful entries on display.

Tammy Bishop, Sales Director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes, said:

“Our team will be donning their very own Christmas jumpers to judge the entries and can’t wait to see the fantastic designs our St George’s Gate children have created.

“This is an important date on our Christmas calendar, and even though we are unable to gather with all our friends and family this year, we can still keep the Christmas spirit alive.”

All children that enter the colouring competition will receive a special Christmas treat from the Barratt and David Wilson Homes’ elves – with five lucky children winning £100 worth of Amazon vouchers.

This year the housebuilders will also be supplying all new residents with a ‘Santa Safety Kit’ so that homeowners can be assured that Santa will be able to visit their homes safely this year.
