Isle Of Wight Father Who Suffered Snake Bite After Second COVID Bout Returns Home

Ian Jones

An Isle of Wight father who was bitten by a deadly snake when he had a second bout of COVID-19 whilst in India - has now returned to his family on the Island.

As first reported by Isle of Wight Radio, an appeal launched for Ian Jones - who has been left blinded by the Cobra bite - to raise funds for his medical bills so he could return home.

The charity worker still has paralysis in his legs and is having to adjust to his newfound circumstances which his family say is proving both emotional and challenging.

Ian will quarantine for the next 14 days before he undergoes further treatment.

His family are very keen to provide an update and to express their personal thanks as soon as Ian feels able to do so.

In the meantime, they have asked if Islanders can bear with them for a little bit longer while Ian rests and recuperates.
